295 is Western Wake's Service and Rescue Truck. 295 is a 1999 HME SFO chassis with the body being built by EVI. It runs on all vehicle accidents First Responder, Haz-Mat calls and structure fires. 295 carries a maximum of 5 people: Driver, Captain and up to 3 firefighters in the enclosed cab, all of which can talk to each other through a closed Firecom intercom system. 295 is equipped to handle all first responder calls carrying a jump bag, oxygen and a semi-automatic defibrillator. 295's captain's side is fully equipped to handle extrication and other various rescues. Equipment includes a full set of Holmatro tools, a portable pump, airbags, air tools, assorted cribbing, backboard, and other rescue equipment. 295's driver's side is equipped to handle structural related calls. Equipment includes: chainsaw, vent saw, K-12, 8 spare Scott bottles, 2 Scott air packs, an assortment of hand tools, air monitor, and both negative and positive pressure ventilation fans. The rear compartment is equipped with multiple pike poles and a 24' 2 section ladder, 28' 3 section ladder, a 10' folding (attic) ladder, 14' roof ladder, and 2 35' 3 section ladders. The unit provides scene lighting 2 750 watt tripod alpha lights on the rear and 2 750 watt alpha lights on each side, these will be complimented by a 9000 watt light tower.
Emergency warning devices include: A Code 3 light bar, various red and amber strobes along the body and red MARS lights. Audible warning is provided by a Code 3 siren with dual speakers, along with air horns, a Federal Signal "Q" and a traditional bell.
