297 was removed from service on June 30th, 2008. It served as Station 2's second out pumper-tankerand ran on any call where a tanker is needed. 297 carries a maximum of 4 people: Driver, Captain and up to 2 firefighters on the back, all of which can talk to each other through a closed intercom system. It has a 1000 gallon tank with a 1000 GPM pump. 297 carries an assortment of other size hose, along with all needed nozzles and appliances. 297 also carries AFFF foam. 297 is equipped to handle any minor first responder calls carrying a jump bag and oxygen.
Emergency warning devices include: A light bar, red rotary lights on the sides of the hose bed, amber strobes on the back, assorted other strobes and clear MARS lights. It also has a Code 3 siren and speaker along with air horns along with a Federal Signal "Q".
