299 was Western Wake's brush truck. It is a 1970 Chevrolet 4x4. 299 runs on any brush or grass fires. 299 carries a maximum of 2 people: Driver and a Captain, both seated in the cab.  It has a 250 gallon tank with a 250 GPM pump. 299 has a booster reels and an assortment of brush tools, along with Indian tanks, a chain-saw and other equipment. 

Emergency warning devices include: Code 3 light bar along with red wig-wag lights on the grill. It also carries a Code 3 siren and speaker.
