Car 190 was Western Wake's Chief's vehicle. It is a 1997 Chevrolet 2500 Suburban LT 4x4 powered by a Chevrolet 454 C.I. engine. Car 190 ran on any call which the Chief feels necessary. Car 190 carries a maximum of 8 people. Car 190 had the ability to respond to first responder calls and is equipped with a jump kit. Car 190 also served as a command vehicle on larger incidents. It was sold in December 2005 after it was replaced by Wake County.
Emergency warning devices included: A Sho-Me strobe package consisting of hide-a-way strobes in the tail, back-up, and turn signals with Sho-Me Micro Thins in the rear window. Primary warning was Sho-Me LED bars on the front and rear windows. Car 190 is also equipped with wig-wag high beams. Audible warning is provided by a Code 3 siren and speaker.
