WC-7
Wake County 7 (WC-7) is Wake County's body transport van and is located at Station 1. WC-7 is a 1997 Ford Ecoline 250. WC-7 is dispatched to any deaths which may be suspicious or the result of a crime, it does not transport patients who pass away due to natural causes. WC-7 is equipped with all necessary radio communications, including 800 MhZ, UHF, VHF and cellular devices.
WC-7 is staffed by public safety professionals from throughout Wake County and ran by CCBI. These individuals work on 12 hour shifts and are on call. They are dispatched by The Raleigh Emergency Communications Center (Raleigh Central) using alpha-numeric pagers.
Vehicle Identification equipment includes: A rotating red light on the dash along with a strobe package located in the rear lights, high-beam wig-wag is also included.
